I spent decades searching for validation and my identity ever since I was molested at 14. I ran to pornography and that led me to an endless empty void that could never be filled. Little did I realize that this self medicating had turned into an addiction and that I was recklessly destroying my life. God thumped me on the chest and opened my eyes to the fact that I needed to shed the weight of this addiction. That is what led me into going through The Transformation. Now I am no longer bound to a lifestyle of passivity and destruction. I live a lifestyle of freedom from my chains and bondage and am an ever present follower of Jesus, Husband and Father.

My experience was a journey of honest exposure of my pride and selfishness. By immersion in the Word and accountability from Trent, the stronghold of lies that I maintained in my pride and self righteousness were confronted. I was able to see the harm that my attitude and actions inflicted upon others. My lack of emotional maturity revealed the undue burdens I placed on my wife in our marriage. The false character that I imposed on the Lord was challenged and redefined. I have accepted His invitation of grace to walk in repentance and integrity as a follower of Jesus without shame and in His secure love for me.

My experience into the The Transformation started with fear. The fear in addressing my issues around sexuality brokenness was so big that I made a lot of justifications for not starting the needed work. My greatest fears were that I’d be less of a son and God would take everything away from me.
The Transformation is so effective because of 2 main anchors- a person walking intimately with me and consistent large quantities of the word. I’m in Gods word for hours a day and walking with someone I’ve opened my thought life to. It felt so out of my control but the surrender I experienced was exactly the life Jesus wanted to get to me all along.

There has been healing and understanding in both discipline and relief with each step the Holy Spirit walks you through. Every part of your inner being is exposed and none of this is possible unless there are hours of scripture reading, correction from coaches and honest prayer spoken. It has taken faith to say all that you know and have done needs to be replaced and is replaced by obedience to Gods Word and not tradition or beliefs that kept you hidden and felt safe. There is a revelation of God’s goodness that is experienced in each week that goes on and it’s so special because it’s for you the one getting on the surgeons table.
